What You Will Need
- 1/3 yard of 2 or 4 way stretch fabric
- Matching Thread
- Regular Home Sewing Machine
- Overlock Machine if you have one
Pattern Assembly
- Use a straight stitch or overlock stitch on the other side of the fold of leg piece (1) This makes 2 separate leg pieces
- Hem the bottom openings of both legs with 1/2” hem using a cover stitch, zigzag stitch or any stretch stitch
- Fold both the upper band pieces (2) in half long ways and sew the short ends together with a straight stitch or overlock stitch
- Now that you have made a circle. Fold both upper band pieces (2) in half long ways and place the unfinished edges of band piece (2) inside leg warmer top (1) Secure all 3 layers together with a overlock or any stretch stitch. You will have to stretch the upper band piece (2) to make it fit (1)
- You can make a more finish look by sewing down the inside seam flat using a cover stitch, zigzag stitch or any stretch stitch. (this step is not required)
