Mesh See-Through Tube Dress Sewing Pattern

What You Will Need

• 1/2 yard of 2 way stretch mesh fabric (my favorite mesh to work with)
• 2 bias pieces 2” wide BY – see instructions
• Matching Thread
• Overlock machine or straight stitch on a home sewing machine
• Cover stitch machine or a zig-zag stitch on a regular home sewing machine

Pattern Assembly

1. With the right sides of the fabric together, sew both sides of the tube dress (1) using a ¼” serger stitch.
2. Cut two upper chest bias pieces (2) to the following lengths:
   • XS: 2 x 11”
   • S: 2 x 12”
   • M: 2 x 13”
   • L: 2 x 14”
3. Sew the short 2” ends of the bias pieces (2) together with the right sides facing each other. Then, fold the piece in half lengthwise to form a circle.
4. Place the upper chest bias tape (2) inside the upper chest tube dress (1), aligning the side seams. Sew them together with a ¼” serger/overlock stitch all the way around the top. You will need to pull on the bias tape (2) to make it fit, ensuring a tighter fit for the top strap.
5. Hem the lower edge of the tube dress (1) with a ½” hem using a cover stitch, zigzag stitch, or any other stretch stitch.

*You can sew down the serger/overlock stitch if you want. It is not a required step. It does make for a more finished look*
