With a template pattern assembly tutorial. I walk you through the steps of assembling this sexy v-thong. Make your own sexy lave v-thong bottoms using my sewing template. A sewing pattern template is a set of instructions and markings that guide the process of cutting and assembling lace pieces to create a V-Thong by Sew Skimpy. A template serves as a blueprint for constructing the V-Thong design and ensures that the final product has the desired shape and fit. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy sewing!

What You Will Need

  • 2.5” Stretch Lace
  • Matching Thread
  • Regular Home Sewing Machine / zig-zag stitch & straight stitch
  • Optional Overlock Sewing Machine

Pattern Assembly

  1. Open the folds of your two lace pieces you cut. Face both lace pieces with right sides together and sew the front and back seams you cut with a 1⁄4” serger/straight stitch.
  2. Open the lace from the serger stitches you did in step (1). Place those seams together and sew the crotch with a 1⁄4” serger/straight stitch.
  3. Using a cover stitch, zigzag stitch or any another stretch stitch sew the serger/straight stitch down to flatten the seam. I tucked the serger chain inside when I make this final stitch.

Optional Lining

  1. I usually just sew the front and back down with a straight stitch. Hemming the lining seemed like an extra step (stretch fabrics don’t usually fray)

*If you want a more finished look you could add a serger stitch around the sides and tuck the front and back ends in before you sew it down*
