🧵 What You Will Need
⅝ yard Nylon Spandex (2 way or 4 way stretch) 58–60 inches wide
Optional lining with similar stretch
¼ inch cotton braided swimwear elastic
Matching thread
Overlock/serger or home sewing machine with zigzag or stretch stitch
Elastic attachment recommended

🧵 Assembly (Shortened Instructions)
Optional front lining is placed wrong sides together with the main fabric and treated as one layer. Elastic is applied around all raw edges using ¼ inch cotton braided swimwear elastic with a zigzag or stretch stitch. If connectors or rings will be used, leave the waist strap ends open before finishing the elastic. If hardware is not being used, the front and back waist strap ends are sewn together using a straight stitch and a ½ inch seam allowance with reinforcement where elastic overlaps. Elastic is then folded to the inside and secured with a coverstitch, zigzag stitch, or stretch stitch. If connectors or rings are used, each finished strap end is threaded through the hardware, folded to the inside approximately ½ inch, and stitched securely to create the finished side connection.
