🧵 What You Will Need
1/2 yard stretch fabric with good recovery
1/8″ or 1/4″ cotton braided elastic for ruching
Matching thread
Overlock machine or home machine with zigzag/stretch stitch
🧵 Assembly (Shortened Instructions)
Apply elastic to the back piece to create optional ruching, leaving room at the top for the waistband hem.
With right sides together, sew front and back pieces at the side seams using a 1/4″ serger seam allowance.
Hem leg openings with a stretch stitch or coverstitch.
Hem the waist opening, tucking the top of the ruching elastic neatly inside.
