🧵 What You Will Need
2/3 yard 58″–60″ stretch fabric
Matching thread
4 tie straps (1⅜″ × 24″ suggested if making your own)
Overlock/serger or home sewing machine with zigzag/stretch stitch
🧵 Assembly (Shortened Instructions)
Prepare four tie straps for the neck and back. Straps can be sewn as tube straps or folded into flat stretch ties.
Insert two straps into the folded tips of the cowl and stay stitch in place.
Sew cowl side seams using a ¼″ seam allowance with a serger or stretch stitch. Turn right side out.
Hem the curved lower edge of the under bust panel using a stretch stitch, leaving the straight top edge unsewn.
Attach the straight edge of the cowl to the straight edge of the under bust using a ¼″ seam allowance. Guide gently without stretching.
Fold seam allowance toward the cowl and insert back straps at each side seam. Secure with reinforcement stitching so straps cover the side seam under the bust.
