What You Will Need
- 1⁄2 yard of 2 or 4 way stretch fabric 58”- 60” wide
- Matching Thread
- Overlock machine / zig-zag stitch on a regular sewing machine
- Cut 2 waistbands using measurements in written instructions
Pattern Assembly
- Sew both small sides of the waist/hip band (1) together with 1⁄4” serger stitch
- Fold the waistband in half the long way to create a double layer
- Pin the waist/hip band seams (1) to both sides of the inner circle fold of (2) with right sides together
- Serger stitch waist/hip band (1) piece to inner edge of (2) with 1⁄4” stretch stitch (pull pins before stitch if using a serger)
- Sew serger seam down with zigzag or cover stitch (adds a reinforced finished look, but is not required)
- Use a 1/2 inch hem on the lower edge of the circle skirt (2) to finish
