What You Will Need
- 1 1/4 yard of 2 or 4 way stretch fabric 58”- 60” wide (1 yard for XS & S sizes)
- 1/8” elastic for optional ruching (small piece)
- Matching Thread
- Overlock machine / zig-zag stitch on a regular sewing machine
- Binding Foot is optional (I never used one)
Pattern Assembly
- Add ruching in between the bust of front piece (1) I recommended 5” space between cleavage
- Serger stitch the center seam of back pieces (2) with a ¼” serger stitch
- With right sides facing each other secure side seams of (1) & (2) with a ¼” serger stitch
- Hem bottom edge of (1) & (2) with ½” hem using a coverstitch, zigzag stitch, or any stretch stitch
- Cut 2 binding pieces according to measurements on the sewing pattern
- Sew short sides of binding together with a straight stitch ½” from open edge
- Pin binding in place and stay stitch the binding to the top of the tube dress
- Fold and tuck in binding. Then secure with a coverstitch, zigzag stitch, or any stretch stitch
