What You Will Need
- 2/3-yard 2 way stretch fabric or 1/2-yard 4 way stretch fabric
- Matching Thread
- Overlock machine / zig-zag stitch on a regular sewing machine
Pattern Assembly
- With right sides together sew the hood pieces of (1) together with 1/4” seam allowance (stretch stitch or overlock stitch preferred but not required) Make sure the right sides are together and front ties face each other
- Serger stitch both lower than hoodie sides of (1) to the back strap sides of (2) with 1⁄4” seam allowance (you can also use a straight stitch on a home machine) Make sure the right sides are together
- Hem all edges all the way around the halter top hoodie with 1⁄2” hem using a cover stitch, zigzag stitch, or any stretch stitch. You will hem the top of the tie and hood, the bottom of the tie around the back, and the opening under the hood that is above the back strap.
