🧵 What You Will Need

• 1/2 yard of 2 or 4 way stretch fabric (58″–60″ wide)
• Optional stretch lining
• 1/4″ braided elastic
• 3/4″ S-Hook (plastic recommended)
• Matching thread
• Serger or zigzag stitch on a sewing machine
• Elastic foot recommended

🧵 Assembly (Shortened Instructions)

(Optional ruching) Add the front ruching before construction if desired. Sew both back pieces to the front with right sides together using a 1/4″ seam. Attach 1/4″ elastic to the top and bottom edges, leaving the elastic long on the back straps for easier hemming. Fold the elastic to the inside and stitch the hem with a coverstitch or zigzag stitch while keeping the edges smooth. Secure the S-hook to the right back strap with a straight stitch. Fold the left back strap to create the receiving loop and stitch it in place. Optional front lining may be attached before assembling the side seams.
