✂️ Pattern Assembly
-
Sew the dress hood (Piece 1) using a ¼” seam allowance. Leave the open back unsewn to hem later.
-
Pin the center waistline of Piece 1 to Piece 2, right sides together. Stop pinning about 1″ from each back seam edge to leave a gap for hemming.
-
Using a serger or straight stitch, sew the back seam of Piece 2 with a ¼” seam allowance.
-
Hem the open back raw edges using a stretch stitch, zig-zag, or coverstitch. Adjust the hem to ¼” near the upper skirt seam and plunging back opening to reduce bulk.
-
Hem the bottom raw edge of the dress with a ½” stretch hem.
